We take your advice and collaborate with our government to promote good policy!
In order to promote inclusive practices as a policy in Maryland and nationally, MCIE works with school systems, the Maryland State Department of Education, the US Department of Education, other advocacy organizations, and legal teams across the country to promote policy and practice that enable students with disabilities to be educated in their neighborhood schools. This work involves data analysis, legislative review, public commentary, administrative communications, and collaboration with advocacy organizations in Maryland and other states.
