    An easy new way to support MCIE

    Now you can support MCIE when you shop on line!  Use the link below each time you visit Amazon.com (or add it to your bookmarks).  It takes you directly to the Amazon home page and contains an embedded code that lets Amazon know that you were referred by MCIE.  You shop as usual and don't pay any extra, and MCIE received a donation of between 4% and 10% of what you spend.

    SmartCEO names Carol Quirk one of the Baltimore BRAVA! Awards for 2013

    Congratulations to Carol for being one of the 25 winners of the 2013 BRAVA! awards. More than 250 people came to honor women who combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community. These female CEOs have become exemplary leaders in their companies and the community at large by encouraging local philanthropy, mentoring fellow CEOs and setting their companies on the path to tremendous growth. Each year, an independent panel of business leaders selects the Brava! winners based on nominations submitted.

    MCIE Joins University of Kansas for National Center on Inclusive Education

    MCIE is excited to be a part of a 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education to create a National Center on Inclusive School Reform. This Center was awarded to the University of Kansas and, along with other universities and organizations, MCIE will provide leadership and professional development in 4 states. The Schoolwide Integrated Framework for Transformation (SWIFT) Center is dedicated to promoting the inclusion of students with disablities in their neighborhood schools so they can learn alongside their nondisabled peers. The center will assist educators, administrators, schools, and state education agencies in implementing evidence-based inclusive education practices.

    Johns Hopkins names MCIE Co-Executive Director "Distinguished Alumna"

    The Johns Hopkins University School of Education recognized Dr. Carol Quirk as its 2012 Distinguished Alumna. She received this prestigious honor at the 2012 commencement ceremony.

    MCIE receives Social Equity Award

    MCIE was recognized by the National Academy of Public Administration's Panel on Social Equity for our "Leadership in Promoting Social Equity in Education." We received this honor for our successful partnerships with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Maryland's local school systems.
